  The contracted removalist was supportive and full of advice from the prepack inspection right through to the lads who unpacked all our valuable belongings at our eventual destination. Nothing was lost, nothing was broken and everything was easy for us and, I hope, the removalists. Please pass on thanks to Walkers and commend them for a job well done. I did mention how pleased we were when they made their customary: "How did it all go?" phone call the day after the delivery.

  We have experienced good moves and bad ourselves and heard many tales of both good and bad relocations. We all know that stress levels are already high and even a little hitch can move the most rational into a state of apoplexy. We are happy to report that out recent and final removal was without any problems at all.

  I could not praise the two removalists highly enough, they were wonderful. They took the stress out of my move. They were friendly, happy and nothing was a bother to them. Very helpful with placement of the furniture in the new place. It was also lovely to be wished all the best

  Walkers have been very professional, efficient and supportive form my first contact with them. I was very impressed with the salesman, admin staff and especially the packing and uplift. I very highly recommend Walkers Moving & Storage. They made that part of my relocation an easy process.

  I've used Walkers recently for my move from Sydney to Melbourne and I thoroughly regret that I did. They are good at making positive impression the first time but once you sign the contract, they don't seem to care about you. No communication whatsoever. I had to give multiple phone calls in order to get my cartons delivered. (You pay for the cartons but what they give you are some dodgy old boxes that are all falling apart.) The uplift was on Tuesday and my items were due to be delivered on Friday but they decided to deliver them on Monday saying something about "the train being late" - and they called me up on Thursday to tell me this. They gave me an excuse that they've tried to call me once earlier but I didn't answer but I would like to say that there are other modes of communication such as SMS and email - they had my email address so I can't see why they couldn't email me.They damaged my furniture and items and no apology. They don't seem to care at all about my belongings. Spoken to some arrogant woman on the phone about the claim but she was of no use. Don't bother applying for their insurance because they will make all possible excuses not to accept your claim. Don't bother writing "fragile" in any of your boxes because they will ignore it. (In fact, the only box I written "fragile" on was the box that was most damaged out of 20or so I had).

  A very well run business that gave me confidence in their service right from the start. On the day the guys turned up early and were very pleasant and helpful throughout the entire move. I highly recommend Walkers Moving & Storage to anyone considering moving locally or Interstate.

  Dear Erin, we have now been at home for just a whisker over one month. We love our new house and the area in which is located. We have had a hectic 6 months: resigned, sold up, bought new, travelled around Australia, relocated to store and out again four months later. Many things could have gone wrong but nothing did.

  I remember the days when removals were a Defence task carried out by the Movement trade of the Royal Corps of Transport - indeed I worked in that area for a short time. Frankly, the function is better out of Defence and between Toll and the agents you use the service you are currently providing is exceptional.
